Abstract

We have developed an approach to calculate the full counting statistics of the Holstein polaron dot in a strong coupling regime. Using a polaron tunneling approximation we have derived an Levitov-Lesovik formula for the cumulant generating function with an effective normalized transmission coefficient. The effect of electron-phonon interactions on the charge transport through a contacted molecule was studied. We have simplified to contain a single electronic level linearly coupled to a local Holstein Phonon i.e. a bosonic oscillator degree of freedom with a single frequency. The vibrational modes of a such a quantum dot were also studied. We found the description of transport through molecules contacted using mechanically controlled break junctions.
