Abstract

The SU(2) and SU(3) pure gauge theories have been studied on a ${10}^{4}$ random-block lattice. The Wilson loops up to size 5 \ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{} 5 have been calculated by Monte Carlo simulations. The scaling behavior is revealed and the asymptotic-freedom scale parameter $\ensuremath{\Lambda}$ is estimated for SU(2) and SU(3) pure gauge theories.
