Abstract

s / Journal of Veterinary Behavior 8 (2013) e27ee46 e34 Sixty day after testing all dogs were assessed in a blinded manner by repeating the DMA. Data were analyzed using a Wilcoxon test using an a priori value of P < 0.05 as a measure of significance. Dogs of the experimental group statistically increased their scores after the problem solving sessions (16.29 vs 21.58; W 1⁄4 91.0; P < 0.022). Scores of the control groups did not show any change. These preliminary data suggest that problem solving sessions may be effective in reducing fear.
