Stress singularity at the tip of a rigid conducting line in dielectrics under plane electric field

Abstract

The problem of the rigid conducting line inclusion in a dielectric will be studied under McMeeking's considerations. It will be shown that the unphysical singularity in stress does not occur when treating the rigid inclusion as a conducting line.
