Abstract

Through heat treatment tests and the measurement of residual stress in oil and gas pipelines, the relationship between stress distribution and heat treatment is discovered in this study. The distribution rules of the tensile strength of the pipes under various heat treatment temperatures and heating temperatures were discovered by examining the tensile strength of the samples after heat treatment and the tensile characteristics of the pipes at high temperatures. Finally, it is suggested that the stress removal heat treatment temperature of the pipeline should be 350 °C and the holding time should be 3 hours. Through the research on the stress-relieving heat treatment process of pipelines based on stress detection and control, the service performance of the pipeline is not affected, but the residual stress caused by various reasons can be effectively reduced and the safe operation quality of the pipeline can be improved.
