Abstract

In the note, a fracture criterion of mixed-mode cracks is presented by considering the fracture parameters on the Nadai elastic–plastic boundary around a crack tip. The fracture analysis of center-inclined crack plate shows that the effect of different yield strengths in tension and compression on mixed-mode crack fracture is basically the same as that of the scatter of the fracture experimental data of brittle material.
