Abstract

Chronic stress correlates with cancer progression and metastasis, yet the underlying mechanisms remain to be explored. In this issue of Cancer Cell, He etal. reveal that glucocorticoids released during chronic stress promote metastasis by inducing the formation of neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) and remodeling the microenvironment.
