Abstract

OBJECTIVE: Sublethal environmental stress induces general adaptation of cells and makes them more resistant during subsequent interventions such as cryopreservation. In the present study sublethal hydrostatic pressure (HP) stress was used to treat mouse and human oocytes before vitrification in order to increase post-warming survival and developmental competence.
