Abstract

Abstract The impedance of nearly zero magnetostriction amorphous wires (Co 68.1 Fe 4.4 Si 12.5 B 15 , λ s =−4×10 −8 ) has been measured as a function of an applied dc longitudinal field, circular driving field frequency and tensile stress. Giant magnetoimpedance (GMI) ratios up to 330% were observed in the lower magnetostriction wire (for frequency f =1 MHz).
