Abstract

Abstract In this chapter we continue the theme of district health management strengthening. Two basic issues are looked at: The relationship between organizational structure and associated changes in health management. The principal theme of this book is that of structuring organizations within the context of PHC. However, it has been recognized that an integral process of change has to link structural changes in the organization with associated changes in management processes. This chapter seeks to develop organizational decentralization with further changes in planning, community participation, and human resource management.
