Abstract
Change management is crucial in addressing corruption within local governments, particularly in developing countries like South Africa. This study examines the Ba-Phalaborwa Local Municipality, focusing on how intensifying change management principles can effectively eliminate corruption. By analysing various stakeholders' roles, including employees, politicians, and directors, this paper provides a comprehensive overview of the corruption dynamics within the municipality. Using a qualitative research design, the study explores the effectiveness of change management strategies through detailed data collection and analysis. The findings underscore the importance of robust change management in fostering a corruption-free local government environment.
