Abstract
In order to predict the failure strength of prestressed/precast concrete members failing in shear and flexure, design equations based on the conventional truss-strut mechanism and plane section assumption have been proposed. The proposed method also demonstrates the deformation capacity at each failure of prestressed/precast concrete members. The analytical results obtained by methods such as failure strength, failure mode and drift angle at failure were validated by comparing them with experimental results from previous research. It can be seen that the proposed method is an effective tool to investigate the failure mechanism of prestressed/precast concrete members in an integrated manner.
