Abstract

Traditionally, educational institutions, such as Government and Public High Schools, have relied on manual procedures to manage learners' Permanent Records and Report Cards. These manual processes involve cumbersome paperwork, extensive data entry, and prolonged turnaround times for requests and issuances. However, given the evolving educational landscape and the growing demand for efficiency and accuracy, there is an urgent need to modernize these procedures. Recognizing this necessity, the Department of Education (DepEd) issued DepEd Order (DO) No. 54 s.2016, establishing standardized procedures and guidelines for requesting and issuing learners' Permanent Records and Report Cards across all public schools nationwide. This study, known as Streamlining School Registration: An Innovative Automated System for Registrars, aimed to enhance and streamline registrar processes specifically within Bagonbon National High School through automation and integration. The approach involved software development, stakeholder consultations, and usability testing. The outcomes demonstrated significant time savings, reduced errors, and increased user satisfaction. The implications suggest improved efficiency in school administration, with plans focusing on scalability and adaptability to meet the specific needs of the educational setting.
