Abstract

In the operation of multi-lanes Freeway with Ultra-wide Cross-section, the complex road traffic environment, large traffic, and multi-channels have a great impact on traffic safety. From the perspective of active prevention and control, it is necessary to adopt intelligent transportation to study the active prevention and control mode of multi-lanes Freeway with Ultra-wide Cross-section. Relying on the typical project of the two-way ten-lane integral section expressway, this paper firstly analyzes the operation characteristics of the multi-lane ultra-wide section expressway from the perspectives of speed, traffic composition, and accident, and proposes the differences of the lane-level operation characteristics. On this basis, facing the needs of macro traffic flow organization and safety management, a traffic organization mode meeting the travel needs is proposed. And in combination with active safety control measures, active safety control measures for soft isolation, lane and left hard shoulder of multi-lanes Freeway with Ultra-wide Cross-section are put forward. The research results provide technical support for the safety of relying on projects and have guiding significance for ensuring the operation safety level of similar projects.
