Abstract

To improve the wind power absorption rate, this paper presents a regulation strategy based on VMD for coordinated elimination of wind power by thermal power unit and battery storage system. Firstly, we discussed the fluctuation characteristics of wind power and the output characteristics of thermal power unit and battery storage system. Then, the VMD variational mode is decomposed according to the equivalent load curve, and the corresponding components of different center frequencies are obtained. The components of different characteristics are adjusted by the output characteristics of thermal power unit and battery storage system correspondingly. Finally, the MATLAB software is used to solve the optimization problem, which has a better effect than the traditional single thermal power unit adjustment.
