Abstract

Treatment guidelines for psoriatic arthritis are limited by a paucity of strategy studies to inform management decisions as well as an absence of consensus on treatment goals. Few studies providing quality data exist to guide advanced therapy (eg, changes in treatment regimen and the use of combination regimens) among individuals for whom initial treatment has been unsuccessful. Clinical management of individuals with psoriatic arthritis is complicated by different treatment guidelines proposed by the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR).
