Abstract

Village Owned Enterprises (Badan Usaha Milik Desa/BUM Desa) is one of the tools to increase village independence and welfare. When BUM Desa performs well, it is hoped that the community and village will be affected. This study aims to formulate strategy that can be used by BUM Desa in Kebumen Regency to improve their performance. Strategy formulation is carried out by analyzing the internal and external factors of BUM Desa, then using the SWOT Matrix and described through the Architecture of Strategy. The results of this study describe alternative strategies that can be carried out by BUM Desa so that their performance can increase. These strategies include the addition of BUM Desa services and collaboration with other parties, the creation of integrated information system, capacity building and competence of BUM Desa employees, as well as policy for reserves the net profit.
