Abstract
Hi, I'm Darshini Moodley, a social worker at a shelter for women who are abused. It is a shelter and safe house for women and their children who have experienced some kind of trauma, usually domestic violence, sometimes rape or sudden abandonment by their partners. At the outset I want to assure all of you that I am not a bra-burning, man-hating woman. As a matter of fact, I quite like men.
