We present statistical data of social and economical impact related to U.S. and European VC market examples. Reviewing the taxes and fiscal regime initiatives specific to the Canary Islands, we create a VC impact model for social and economical development. We summarize experts’ opinions regarding impediments to a successful VC market in the Canary Islands. Summarizing theoretical and practical aspects and following other countries’ examples, we suggest the models and recommendations on how to build venture capital industry in the Canary Islands.
