Strategies for Meeting the Proposed Discharge Limit for Ammonia Nitrogen at Advanced Wastewater Treatment PlantsThe U.S. EPA has proposed an update to the aquatic ambient water quality criteria for ammonia nitrogen for freshwater based on protection of freshwater mussels. The proposed criteria are based on pH and temperature of the receiving water.
