Abstract

Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) are a native medium for technological innovation with transversal impact in its different sectors. One of the sectors that has grown the most in Mexico in recent years, is the development of software and associated services. In this sector, state of Queretaro ranks 4th in the country, mainly due to its impact on other industries considered as strategic for this state, such as automotive, aerospace, biotechnology and agribusiness, among others. Dynamics of innovation in this sector and emerging niches arising from cross-influence, open the opportunity to create a strategic framework. This would support the decisionmaking in the field of innovation, in ICT companies. Through innovation, companies in this region would increase their competitiveness and value creation. In this context, this paper presents a goal scenario and a set of critical surveillance variables that will allow evaluation of the alignment between innovative projects generated by ICT companies, and sectoral strategy derived from a prospective study. In this way, the bases will be established to create an intelligence system for state's ICT sector, driven by the InteQSoft Cluster.
