(eds.), Global Topics and New Trends in Coastal Research: Port, Coastal and Ocean Engineering. Journal of Coastal Research, Special Issue No. 103, pp. 596–600. Coconut Creek (Florida), ISSN 0749-0208.Port logistics, as one of the important logistics forms of trade between China and other countries and between domestic regions, has been increasingly improved with the frequent trade. In this paper, the development strategy planning of coastal port logistics based on supply chain is studied. The research is divided into four parts: firstly, SWOT analysis is used to investigate and analyze the development status of coastal port logistics. Secondly, the demand of port logistics is predicted by elastic coefficient method. Then, based on the above analysis results, logistics development strategy planning and design are carried out, including port logistics planning site selection, port logistics facilities scale determination, port logistics information system planning. Finally, the effects of port logistics development strategy planning before and after the implementation are evaluated by constructing the evaluation index system of port logistics competitiveness. The results show that the comprehensive score is higher after the implementation than before, which proves that the study is effective.
