Abstract
This chapter shows what interferes with the task of combining dispersed strategic information of different origins into one coherent image as well as on what scale this occurs. It increases awareness of the conditions that improve the functioning of an organization that interprets changes in the environment and explains when it will become more effective in this task and, thus, achieve greater benefits. The analysis uses the results of research conducted on a select group of 112 of the largest Central European enterprises—participants of the global market game. Thus, the research covered entities that are very important from the point of view of other global corporations (including even the largest American companies), as the results of the analysis concern their potential competitors and sometimes their own business partners who can share developed and very interesting system solutions. The conclusions indicate that management in the companies should undertake an in-depth reflection on the level of technological advancement in the integration and use of integrated data within the organization.
