Abstract
ABSTRACT Based on five-year panel data for cities in Liaoning Province, we reports on dynamic research regarding the coupling of the province’s tourism industry and its regional economy as an old industrial base of Northeast China. First constructing, against the new-era background, an evaluation index system for the tourism industry and regional economy, we used an AHP-IEW weighting method and the coupling coordination degree model to calculate the coupling degree of the two systems. Based on the Boston Matrix, we constructed a coupling matrix. Finally, the σ convergence test was used to explore the evolution rules of coupling difference among cities.
