Abstract

This study aims to analyze the potential of Pusakamulya Village as the tourist destination with special interest with coffee as the main product to help the local communities developing their village as the tourism village in Purwakarta district. This village was had already produces a good quality of Arabica coffee bean and already export it in another Purwakarta district and also to several city in West Java. The local communities would like to make the coffee field in this village as the tourism destination for tourist to learn about coffee and how to produce a good quality coffee. This research is a qualitative study using non- probability sampling techniques, then the data is analyzed using SWOT. The results of this research can be obtained strategies that can be used to manage this tourist spot and possible potential to make this village could be the tourism village. The strategies obtained are: (1). Explain the tourism potential in Pusakamulya Village. (2). Explain how Pusakamulya Village deserves to be a coffee-based tourism village as its superior product. (3). Formulate a model to improve the development of a coffee-based tourism village in Pusakamulya Village.
