Abstract

The workplace is an important source for potential transmission of COVID-19 in the society. One of the efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace is implementation of health protocols such as wearing masks, keeping the safe distance, washing hand and avoiding crowds. However, the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace hasn’t been controlled. Therefore the main purpose of this study is to determine the best strategy to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 in the workplace. This was a descriptive study with survey method designed in 6 agencies in Pekanbaru. Data was collected by using questionnaire and survey method then analyzed by univariate analysis and SWOT analysis. The results of this study indicated that most of the agencies have implemented health protocols to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 in the workplace. The results of respondent’s compliance with survey method showed : wearing masks 98.09%, keeping safe distance 90.23% and washing hands 71.67%. The results of SWOT analysis showed that the main strategy to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 in the workplace is a defensive strategy, trying to minimize the weaknesses and avoid the threats.
