Abstract

The integration of strapdown inertial navigation system (SINS) with an astronavigation system (ANS) using fuzzy logic to adapt the Kalman filter is investigated in this study. A method is proposed that is based on fuzzy rules to adjust the parameters of a traditional Kalman filter. Simulation results for a spacecraft application demonstrate the validity of the method for improving the navigation system reliability, adaptability and performance.
