Straightforward construction of amino-functionalized ILs@SBA-15 catalysts via mechanochemical grafting for one-pot synthesis of cyclic carbonates from aromatic olefins and CO2

Abstract

We herein reported an effective and straightforward strategy for the synthesis of amino-functionalized ILs@SBA-15 catalysts via mechanochemical grafting. As-prepared catalysts showed impressive catalytic activity for the one-pot synthesis of cyclic carbonates from olefins and CO2 under metal- and cocatalyst-free conditions. The catalyst was easily recovered without significant decrease in catalytic activity after multiple cycles. According to the results of the control experiment, a possible catalytic mechanism of oxidative carboxylation reaction of olefin was also proposed.
