Abstract

This little monograph is part of a series of Clinical Pocketbooks. The author is in charge of the strabismus clinic at the University of Wurzburg. It is an excellent introduction to the diagnosis and management of strabismus. The text is clear and concise and the illustrations are most instructive. In general, the outline follows the teaching of American strabismologists. There are, however, a few minor differences, such as the European tendency to keep postoperative squint patients for five to seven days in the hospital. This book can be recommended to medical students and residents as an introduction to the basic problems of strabismus.
