Abstract

<P>The patient, the fifth child of a phenotypically healthy family, was born at 39 weeks’ gestation following an uncomplicated pregnancy, with a birth weight of 3,750 kg. There was no history of maternal diabetes. Neonatal course was uneventful. He was referred at 4 years with nystagmus and strabismus, which were first diagnosed at 6 months. Funduscopy at that age was reported normal. On our examination, his weight was 15.5 kg, his height was 1.01 m, and his head circumference was 50 cm, all in the 25th percentile. He demonstrated preauricular tags in both sides of his face.
