BEHIND THE SCENES OF THE WOULD-BE TRIAL BETWEEN THE POLISH EX-COMBATANTS ASSOCIATION AND TYGODNIK POLSKI IN YEARS 1948–1949In 1948 members of the Polish Ex-Combatants Association charged the editor of Tygodnik Polski published by the Polish People’s Republic Embassy in London with slander. Eventually, there was no trial, and the dispute ended in 1949 with an settlement. Instead the embassy in Londonhad to pay a large sum as compensation.
