Abstract

Three samples of seeds stored in sealed glass tubes and kept at +5°C have retained their viability for 25 years. Two other samples, however, had a low germination percentage, particularly 26 year old seed which had been kept at room temperature for about 11/2 years before being placed at 5°C.
