Abstract

This paper provides an analyzes optimization and evaluation of the Internet Small Computer Standard Interface iSCSI Storage Area Network (SAN). The diversity and the value of the data increases over time, this will require better data storage management. SAN system offers better flexibility, continuity, storage consolidation and disaster recovery strategies than conventional data storage or Direct Attached Storage (DAS). In the future, SAN will be based on IP networks, e. g., iSCSI SAN, to get benefit from SAN better management and IP based network flexibility. Optimization needs to improve iSCSI SAN performance and reliability. In this context, we implement test bet for iSCSI SAN optimization using Internet Protocol Multipathing. We analyze the I/O throughput as its write and read for performance improvements. Also we analyze ability iSCSI SAN to handle broken link (Failover and Failback). Implementation result that internet protocol multipathing enhance performance and reliability of iSCSI SAN system
