Abstract

The stopping power or losing energy of the charged particle and the range, of ions in the materials and polymers are very important in many areas of research and application such as: Measurement of radiation doses, Radiation chemistry, Radiation biology, Radiation therapy and Nuclear physics. The main objectives for calculating stopping power expressed the stopping power and the range of fallen particles resulting from its interaction with the material are: Assess the amount of the gross loss of particle energy. The charged particles have the ability to deliver their energies to the target. The depth of the penetration depends on: The nature of the irradiated material and the energy of the fallen mass. In this study, the stopping power of proton with three materials (Aluminum dioxide AL2O3, Zirconium dioxide Zro2 and silicon dioxide Sio2) has been calculated, using four methods (Beth-Bloch equation, Zeigler formula, Zeigler data (VOl.3) and SRIM2013 software) also the range of proton in this material have been calculated by using the Matlab Language over an energy range from (0.001 to 1000) MeV. The semi-empirical formula have been produced for calculate the range in these materials (AL2O3, Zro2 and Sio2) by knowing proton particle energy.
