Abstract
On the basis of investigations we recommend the use of chamotte stopper tubes with protective sleeves made from more highly resistant materials (alumina-silicon carbide) for the uncooled rods, and also high-alumina and chamotte stopper tubes with chamotte protective sleeves for air-cooled rods in the stoppers for use in steel-casting ladles for vacuum processing and casting various types of steels.
