Abstract

Stone Christ Kjerstin Anne Kauffman (bio) I proliferate: budding, then buddingin excess again. Wouldn't mind your narrowshoulders, vertical arising.Under the dome of the library, find mewide as a woman on a boat, passing the crag for a glacier not visitedbefore. Every increment, warmthdisappears behind invisible doors. If livingwith death at the door is to livelike the hungry, I witness a mountain: full,on the water, here, my vinesever soundless, their eyes in the library skylight, imperial room, nodding, embowed. Rooted as the vestigial range, there is no end to me,stone Christ, —still I stretch for the doors.
