Abstract
Abstract A novel solution has been obtained for the stimulated Raman scattering of a strong collimated pump beam with Gaussian transverse distribution of intensity under the condition of the Stokes-anti-Stokes coupling. Optimum values for the wave vector mismatch and for the number of the spatial modes have been found at which the gain of the Stokes and the anti-Stokes components is maximum. Offset and deformation of the gain line shape due to the nonlinear waveguiding effects have been obtained and investigated.
