Abstract
In Illinois, 11% of children are living with asthma, and over half are uncontrolled, but many children lack consistent access to rescue inhalers at school. Illinois Public Act 100-0726 allows schools to stock rescue/reliever inhalers for any person in respiratory distress. We surveyed school nurses and administrators regarding their perceptions, policies, and implementation barriers about stock relievers.
