Abstract
Random vibrations of linear structures subject to real loads with possible nearly discontinuous amplitude changes, lasting for various time intervals, are described. It has been assumed that these changes occur at random moments and they have been described as birth processes. Analysis of the structural vibrations has been carried out by using correlation theory. Several selected particular cases have been studied and the solutions obtained have been evaluated by numerical computation. The solutions presented here may be applied in the dynamics of structures loaded by a group of machines working in a discontinuous way.
