Abstract

Stochastic stability of a high-order shear deformable beam is studied in this paper. Contact transformation method is used for decoupling the equations of motion of the gyroscopic system with two degrees-of-freedom. Method of regular perturbation is used to determine the asymptotic expressions for these exponents in the presence of small intensity noises. Analytical results are presented for the moment stability of a stochastic dynamical system.
