Abstract

In this chapter, stochastic and resonant layers in 2-dimensional nonlinear Hamiltonian systems are presented. The chaos in the stochastic layer is formed by the primary resonance interaction in nonlinear Hamiltonians systems. However, the chaos in the resonant layer is formed by the sub-resonance interaction. The chapter presented herein is to memorize Professor George M. Zaslavsky for his contributions in stochastic layers.
