Abstract

Nonlinear coupling of an electromagnetic wave and a slow density modulation associated with a dust acoustic wave in a dusty plasma is considered. A special case is considered where the electron temperature (Te) and the electron Debye length (λe) are much greater than the corresponding ion quantities Ti and λi, respectively. It is shown that in this case the coupling equations are extremely simple. The threshold and growth rate of the stimulated scattering instability are obtained.
