Abstract

We have investigated the pulse parameters of the stimulated Raman adiabatic passage (STIRAP) for efficient electron transfer in the coupled quantum dot system, and we found that STIRAP is sensitive to the difference between the dipole moments of the involved transitions. We have designed the QD structures where this drawback can be suppressed, to show the practicality of the photon-assisted tunneling between spatiallyseparated QDs. (© 2006 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
