Abstract
Medication treatment for attention‐deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) was associated with overall reduced odds of suicide attempt in a cohort study of U.S. insurance databases. Use of stimulants was associated with reduced risk, while there appeared to be no increased or decreased risk of suicide attempt among users of nonstimulant medication for ADHD. Study results were published online Dec. 13, 2019, in Biological Psychiatry.
