Abstract

ABSTRACT We describe the larva of the louse fly, Stilbometopa podopostyla (Speiser) (Diptera: Hippoboscidae), and make the first ultrastructural analysis of the spiracular plate. We also report the first record of S. podopostyla in the state of Paraná and a new host for the species, Geotrygon montana (Linnaeus) (Aves: Columbidae).
