Abstract

Summary This review summarizes and reports new records for stick insects from Guadeloupe archipelago, based on inventories conducted both in Guadeloupe and island dependencies (La Désirade, Marie-Galante, Les Saintes and Petite Terre). The distribution range of the endemic species Bacteria donskoffi (Lelong & Langlois, 1998) and Clonistria guadeloupensis Redtenbacher, 1908 is further updated. New host plants are listed for all Guadeloupean stick insect species. The previously undescribed egg of Diapherodes angulata (Fabricius, 1793) is presented; Hesperophasma pavisae Langlois & Lelong, 1998 is considered as a new synonym of Lamponius guerini (Saussure, 1868), and Clonistria guadeloupensis is suggested as a species complex to be further detailed rather than a dichotomous species pool based on body size.
