Abstract
Background: Skeletal metastases (MTS) from thyroid carcinoma (TC) are resistant to radioiodine therapy. Sternal localizations are rare; in such cases surgical resection may offer not only the chance of a cure but also effective palliation for patients with MTS in other sites.
