Abstract
At The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC) most nonpalpable breast masses are biopsied under sonographic guidance with either fine-needle aspiration (FNA) or a core needle technique. For biopsy of suspicious calcifications and masses not identified by sonography, stereotactic core needle biopsy (SCNB) is the preferred technique.
