Abstract
Ru(III) catalysis the efficient conversion of different epoxides to their corresponding thiiranes in the presence of ammonium thiocyanate in exellent yields. Stereospecific conversion of R(+) styrene oxide to S(−) styrene sulfide was achieved in high optical purity.
