Abstract

The preparation of chiral non-stabilized open-chain alkyl­lithium reagents prepared from the corresponding chiral secondary alkyl iodides and their subsequent transmetalation to the corresponding secondary alkylcopper or alkylzinc derivatives is reviewed.
